The Imperative of Understanding Value Delivery and Value Quality

There is a profound importance in understanding the value we offer our ideal customers through their own perspective- through the lens of our Heroes and their Missions.

The Value Offered our Hero vs the Value our Hero Needs

Value, when boiled down to its purest form, fulfills a need or solves a problem. When viewing products and services from our lens we understand the value we (think) we are offering. But true understanding emerges when we shift to and learn about the Hero’s perspective.

By immersing ourselves in their journey, we uncover the value they seek which likely goes beyond the value of our products and services.

This Hero-centric approach is transformative. Instead of merely presenting what we offer, we tailor solutions to fill the value gaps in the Hero’s quest. Not just with our products and services, but also our experience, knowledge, and relationships.

The Quality of the Value Offered

Once we understand the value expectations of our Hero, there are two things we should consider.

What Value Propositions does the Hero feel have the most impact on their Mission, and:

  1. Do we offer that value
  2. What is the Quality of that Value we offer?

As companies we tend to get so focused on ourselves and what we are doing and how great we are and what our own Missions are, that we forget about the customer.

The Hero who is supporting us and helping us grow.

Ask the Hero, “What are your value expectations?”
